Muratec: Announces that the new F-520 and F-560 have been named Editor's Choice 2006 by Better Buys for Business.
The F-520 and F-560 were the first Muratec multifunction devices built on the Network Gateway Platform (NGP). These NGP-enabled devices offer seamless document on-ramping to the network, creating outstanding workgroup scanning solutions for companies that have automated their document workflow. A unique twist on these devices is the incorporation of a touch screen control panel, which allows users to easily deliver documents to network folders, e-mail addresses, FTP sites and fax terminals.
Xerox: Announces they have added more multifunction muscle to the network printing market with the introduction of its fastest-ever desktop multifunction systems. The Xerox black and white WorkCentre 4150 and the color WorkCentre 7132 multifunction printers are designed and sold like a printer but offers copying, scanning and faxing to help people work better in businesses from small to large.
Konica Minolta: Introduced the bizhub C352, the bizhub C352P, the printer-only version of the device, and the bizhub C300. Perfect replacements for Segment 2 and 3 monochrome and color products, with output speeds of 35 pages per minute (ppm) and 30 ppm, respectively, the bizhub C352, C352P, and C300 enable small- to medium-sized office departments and workgroups, as well as color-centric environments, to communicate with greater force through high-quality, high-impact documents.
The versatile and affordable bizhub C352, C352P and C300 come standard with: the bizhub OP Architecture, featuring the Emperon Print System and its PS3 and PCL6 (emulations) printing capabilities; 100,000 page-per-month maximum duty cycle for the C352 and C352P and 90,000 page-per-month maximum duty cycle for the C300; advanced security for the hard drive, printing and access control; auto-duplexing for up to 140 lb.-index stock; Konica Minolta Simitri Color Polymerized Toner; and the PageScope software suite for network management power.
Hewlett Packard: HP's new solutions extend its Total Print Management offering, an integrated portfolio of intelligent devices, network manageability software and customizable services that can cut operation costs and significantly impact the bottom line. The new copier-based HP LaserJet 9055 and 9065 multi-function products (MFPs) feature HP's leading network manageability and trusted brand for quality and reliability. These products, as well as the new HP LaserJet 9085 MFP, extend what are perhaps the industry's most comprehensive imaging and printing product portfolio.
In addition, HP introduced the following management software, assessment capabilities and pay-per-use options, which together provide companies an extensive, system-level solution:
- HP Web Jetadmin 7.5 - the next generation of HP's leading imaging and printing fleet management software now with links to HP's new System Insight Manager. According to HP customer data, organizations using Web Jetadmin have reduced help desk and management costs by approximately 50 percent.
- Assessment capabilities and services - from Web-based, self-service tools to a comprehensive consulting assessment, these services help customers increase the utilization of output devices, improving user productivity and reducing costs.
- Scalable pay-per-use services and billing options give customers transparent and predictable choices in the purchase and management of their imaging and printing environments - from level pay to cost-per-page or pay-per-use services.
HP has assembled a comprehensive sales strategy that leverages the reach of direct and indirect channels. The new high-volume multi-function products will be available globally through HP Services with customizable managed services, consulting and integration, and support.
OKI (Okidata): Announces the C3200n, an affordable and network-ready color printer designed to enhance business productivity at a low operating cost.
The C3200n is the ideal product to replace slower inkjet and monochrome printers, combining fast, high-quality output with a low purchase price and low cost per page. It comes network-ready and can print up to 12 pages per minute in color and up to 20 pages per minute in monochrome.(1)
"The C3200n is superior to products on the market offered at a similar price because of its speed and enhanced media handling ability," said Candice Dobra, Director, Printer Marketing for Oki Data Americas. "We have been offering this product in Europe and it is the perfect fit given the competitive landscape here in North America."
Helping to boost productivity, the C3200n can produce a brilliant full-color page in as little as 14 seconds and a crisp monochrome page in as little as 9 seconds.(1) The C3200n is also equipped with enhanced media handling capabilities. The printer's multipurpose tray handles labels, envelopes, transparencies, and card stock up to 110 lbs. In addition, the C3200n can print banner-size sheets up to 8.5" x 47.24".
